Christmas 2015 Part 1

So this year we went to Iguana's church to celebrate Christmas. Got lost for a while because the map given wasn't clearly drawn. Hehehe.

Worship as usual, followed by a short performance from the children, and then a mime (sort of acting with only actions and expressions, without any speech or words) presented by Iguana and her mates.

Iguana was the main character. The story starts with her lining up with her friends taking turns to get their exam results from their teacher, and she got a big F on her paper. She was disappointed, one of her friends laughed at her for not getting good result, another comforted her. When she got back home and showed her father her result, he nearly wanted to beat her up but her mother stopped him and comforted Iguana.

Next scene was Iguana walking on the road, and the stranger in front of her dropped his wallet accidentally, she saw and picked up, wondering whose wallet was that, just in time for the stranger to turn his back, seeing Iguana holding his wallet and accused her of wanting to steal his wallet. She cried, he wanted to make a report on her, but someone came and stopped him from doing so. She felt devastated, crying while sitting on the bench, a friend came by sat beside her and comforted her.

I was actually in tears since the scene where Iguana got a F for her result. Because I thought of how disappointed I was when I got 50+ for 4 of the subjects that I took last year and this year. Asking myself whether I did my best or not, wondering how could I not scored for the subjects when I had studied, thinking whether my study method was wrong or what. Of course, all these thoughts led to the final conclusion, that I wasn't able to get first class in order to convert the study loan to scholarship. Living costs are increasing and if there are any ways that can be done to minimise expenses, I would want to do so.

The second part of the mime was the same as the first. The only difference was, there's a new character this time. Jesus. When Iguana was being laughed at by her friend who got great result, Jesus patted another friend who went to her and comforted her. When Iguana was almost hit by her father, Jesus appeared, gave her mum a light pat on the back, she stopped her husband from hitting Iguana and comforted her. When she was almost going to be taken by the stranger to the police station for being accused of stealing his wallet, Jesus signaled a guy nearby to stop the stranger from doing so. And when she was alone crying, Jesus sent a friend to be by her side.

When you're sad, hurt, frustrated, or even disappointed with yourself, you didn't know but... Jesus sends angels to be beside you, giving you hope and encouragement.

Iguana is really very good in acting as I was immersed in the whole thing and felt very, very touched.

It's a very simple mime, but it's a very huge impact to me. Sometimes I too will forget the people who give me support and advice, those are the angels who were sent to be with me when I was helpless.
