Sydney #1

16.06.16 - Day 1

This is the 1st time I ever went to a Western country! Full of expectations thanks to my Mum. HAHA.

But our day started in a not-so-smooth way.

Because once we reached Sydney Airport (which by the way is not as big as KLIA or KLIA2 hahahaha) there was no person-in-charge waiting for us. We waited and waited, called the office, blah blah blah, finally a guy name Danny came and apologised because the person-in-charge was sick and the company got a bit out of track. After almost two hours of waiting finally we boarded a shuttle bus and went to our hotel which is Travelodge Sydney.

Buildings in Sydney

Because our hotel is located nearby Chinatown, we saw a lot Chinese (from China) until to the extend I thought I'm in Shanghai. Or any parts of China. SERIOUSLY NO JOKE.

They speak Chinese with China slang and English with Australian slang. Not a bad combination eh.

We can't check in first, so we went to have our lunch first. Which is this Chinese shop.

Forgot to take the pic before we ate, so this is the leftover hahaha.
It was delicious by the way. :D

Pork Chop: It was delicious too!
Oh by the way, the food is so expensive that its starting price is at least AUD 9 which is equivalent to RM27 per plate. Shocking. Even though the currency rate of SG dollar to RM is also 3 times, but at least their starting price for food is S$3, which is RM9. Whoa, how to survive here in Australia ah?

Then we walked for a distant and took the train to Circular Quay which is the station for Darling Harbour because coincidently Vivid Sydney was going on throughout the week, displaying vivid lights from artists all around the world.

And..... the train has 3 levels, which is the first that we have ever seen. So we looked like kampung people taking selfies with the train. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

There's the level which you entered by the door,
then you can choose to go up or down with short staircase.
Magical! xD
We ate Fish & Chips for dinner and admired Vivid Light which was shone to the buildings such as the Opera House.

After that we took the train back to the Museum Station, bought some stuff from 7-11 and went back to hotel to rest. By the way, the weather is similar when I went to Hanoi this year and Shanghai last year which is around 15 degree in the morning and 9 degree at night so we actually enjoyed it because our bodies have get used to the chilling weather.

17.06.16 - Day 2

Woke up at 6a.m (did this for the next whole week, means I woke up at 4a.m Malaysia time hahaha) to have breakfast (had the same breakfast which is porridge, scrambled eggs, sausages, yellow beans, pancakes, yoghurt with fruits and mocha for the next whole week -.-) before heading to Vibe Hotel which is nearby our hotel to begin our day trip with bus. Got wifi oh the bus. Hahahaha.

The tour guide is the same as the driver, unlike in Malaysia where there are 2 different people for the two different roles. So the driver was basically driving while explaining to us. We reached The Rocks, where we all went down to follow another tour guide who explained the history of Australia to us while walking around the place. I enjoyed this because I'm quite interested with the history of Western Countries, and FYI Australia was a place for prisoners from the UK and some people actually purposely convicted some minor crime just to get the chance to travel to Australia haha.

A piece of A.R.T.

The pattern of shells are like some sort of signatures to indicate which person built which part of building.
The buildings are so solid that it lasts till even this day.

It was a great day, sunny but with wind so I really like it.

After the history was explained, we boarded into the bus and stopped at a park.

We can see the Harbour Bridge and Opera House from here.

Then we headed to Bondi Beach.
It was quite cloudy but nevertheless, yay!!

COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT MY DAD HAD THE IDEA OF WRITING THIS :O

:D
After that we went back to Circular Quay for jetboating, a thrill ride on the water. :D My Mum was the one who signed up for this, but because they wanted us to sign contract for the ride, made her thought that it was a very dangerous roller-coaster ride, she pulled back last minute. -.-

BUT IT WAS FUN I WANT TO GO FOR 2ND 3RD 4TH 5TH ROUND!!!

You can go to YouTube and type Jetboating Sydney to watch the whole process!

It was REALLY, REALLY, REALLY FUN. Too bad my Mum missed it. Hahahaha. :P
