I admire seniors who have already succeed in doing what they do, and I can't wait to be like them. But I haven't even master the basics and yet I want to skip all those painful process and wish to have achieved what they are achieving.
Impatience, and always wanting to avoid the bumpy roads, are stopping me from walking any further. Hence, the failures.
On Sunday Pr Eric talks about The Dynamics of Growth, where we can grow in 3 different ways:
1. Growth Begins with Humility
2. Growth Progresses with Intentionality
3. Growth Accelerates with Risk-Taking (Faith)
We must be humble enough to know where we are, and be humble enough to learn continuously. Also we need to be intentional when we grow, otherwise our excuses of doing something might just stop us from growing. Last but not least, we have to have faith to step out from our comfort zone, to be able to do something different. Yes we all have fears in changes, but we ought to have faith in God that He will provide us the things that we need to glorify Him by serving His people and His church.
Philippians 3:12
12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
