The Role of Teachers

That day at church, Pastor Phua was invited to give a sermon. He's a principal of a school, I think he still is, and he said that he stumbled upon a case like this:

A mother came to school because her son got terrible academic results, and this is what she said:
"You better study harder and get better results! If not you will only end up being a teacher."

And Pastor Phua was staring at her and was like, whaaaaaat? Are you talking about me?

Ahahahaha.

And another story:

So, a doctor, an accountant, a lawyer and a teacher sit together and introduce each other's occupations.

So the doctor brags about his job, the accountant brags about how much he can earn, the lawyer brags how good is he in winning cases, and when they know that the 4th person is a teacher, they give some you-know-what-I-mean response.

Then the teacher said, but without me, you all won't be a doctor, accountant and lawyer.

Well, that's true, isn't it? Without a teacher, no one can be a doctor, accountant and lawyer.

You only see a doctor when you're sick.
You only see an accountant at the end of the year, if you have a business, that is.
You only see a lawyer when, well, something terrible happens.

But you see a teacher everyday, when you're studying.

It's true that a teacher's influence is really huge.

Some teachers, they have some kind of weird attitude, therefore resulting in students not interested in studies or that particular subject.

The students have a lot of potential actually, ya know? It's just such a waste to see them drop out from school or fail the papers again and again.

Sad to say, you can't really find a teacher who is really passionate in teaching and not just teaching, but educating.

Well, well.

Happy Teachers' Day to all my beloved teachers!! I hope you all won't be too pressured by students in class ahahaha. =P
