Foundations

- Love God, love other people

Luke 6:46-49
46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? 47 As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. 48 They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. 49 But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”

- They have same competence, only difference is one with foundation and the other didn't have proper foundation (what kind of land they choose to build on)
- The most important thing is not from ground level up, but it's what is deep down below ground level
- We are builders in nature, it's in our spiritual DNA
- We build families, dreams, visions, nations etc
- If I call someone Lord, I recognise His authority over me and I will do whatever He tells me to do
- Come (openness to receive from God) > Hear (worship or learning through sermon) > Do (Put into practice - willingness to obey)
- Build our lives based on God's words, then only we will experience success that is significant
- It's not what we build, but what we build upon
- Don't raise only happy family, but on God's foundation, everything is on God's purpose, not only emphasizing on on studies but on spiritual development
- Build career/business, not about having money to invest or take more holidays, it's so that we can have the influence to spread God's gospel
- Foundation must be dug deep
- Salvation is a free gift from God, but making Him Lord is a choice

Psalm 11:3
3 When the foundations are being destroyed,
what can the righteous do?”
