ROLLER-COASTER
I'm on a roller-coaster
One moment up, then down
Smiling when you're smiling
Frowning when you frown
Never ever knowing if
I'm going to be up or down
I'm taking my cue from you
I've learned to read your face
If you're feeling blue, is it something to do
With me, am I in disgrace
Did I do something wrong
Is this our swan song
Did I forget my place
You're smiling again, my heart lifts
Relief makes me gush like a fool
And out of the blue I'm smiling too
Obedient lady taking her cue
Never showing her feelings
Afraid they might frighten you
On the roller-coaster
Hurtling who knows where
Knowing I should come down to earth
Knowing I shouldn't care so much
And knowing on this journey
I'm not going anywhere
