You Are The Apple Of My Eye

I love this book and it had been turned into a movie in Taiwan, but too bad only in Taiwan and that means I don't have the opportunity to watch it here.

It's 'bout a guy, who fall in love with a girl whose results in school are much excellent than his, and was willing to work hard so that his results are almost as the same as the girl's.

Guess what? After years of chasing after the girl ( even though in between he fall in love with another girl), he did lots of things to impress the girl and eventually confessed to her on their graduation day.

Then the girl said :

"Do you want the answer now? I can give you an answer now."

The guy kept on saying no, 'cause he scared that if the girl rejected him, he'll lose his life purpose.

Because of the girl, he changed from a naughty guy to a smart guy with excellent results. Even though he was not as smart as the girl, but at least he succeeded to get into top 30 in the whole form.

Oh, I forgot to mention that at least 5 or 6 of the guy's good friends like her too. And they use their own tactics to chase after the girl but the girl only thought that they were just a bunch of annoying guys. So, the guy chose to be her 'best friend' 1st.

And that's why the direct translate of this book is also known as " The Girl Whom We Chase After Those Days". *grin*

They went to different colleges, he still liked her but because of a fighting competition that he hold, it leaded to the girl saying that he was just being childish 'cause participants were hurt including him.

He was very upset as that was one of the best achievements but the girl thought that it was childish.

Then he said:

" I'm sorry, I think I can't continue to chase after you anymore...."

After 8 years.

8 years, do you how long is that?

FYI, it's a true story.

Few years after that, the girl said why he had the courage to chase after her for 8 years but didn't even have the courage to listen to her answer?

If only he is willing to listen, cause all the girl wanted to say was,

"I like you too."

But it was too late.

If only, if only.

The story ended with the girl telling the guy that she'll be getting married.

Sigh.

It's a wonderful story, but sad..

Once you missed a chance, you'll miss it forever.

I think that the guy still likes her till now (he's 'bout 30 ++), that's why he wrote this novel and produced a movie.
