Basically, almost everyone of us got something to do on this day. Hehehe.
Before the race started, Nek as our representative went and get our first clue. So Aunty Lionel asked me whether I want to go to washroom before it starts or not? So I asked one of the committees and she said will start in 2 minutes so I went la.
When I was reaching the washroom halfway I heard the sound of the whatever item you call it to start a race.
I was like, ah-oh, but since I was already halfway I went only la. Came out, went back to Piazza, couldn't find that two fellas. And my belongings all with Aunty Lionel because he was the one carrying my bag with everything inside. -.-
The race had started and what I did was to find my teammates because I lost them. I should just sit down at one spot and throw tantrum to get their attention. *wail*
Of course in the end managed to find them because they went to the wrong washroom to find me. At least they knew how to go back to Piazza to wait for me. Hehe.
I haven't start the main story but already used more than half a page. -.-
Let me just write in general on what had happened:
The rules are simple. You got the first clue, you think of which place in SEGi that is related to the clue. Some is quite hard because we totally had no idea what the clue is talking about. I mean, what the clue is trying to show us. Hmm.
For example, FAMINE ENDS HERE.
Famine = Hunger. Where do you go when you're hungry? Cafeteria.
That Nek thought of female lion for some reason (there are similar alphabets in the words FAMINE and FEMALE LION so I guess her brain kelam kabut for a while) and ran off to registration side while I was heading to canteen and yelled WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!!!!!!
Then, from this place, you're required to perform a task and after you finished, you're given another clue and off you go to another place.
But some of the stations are just for us to find clues in envelopes, we're not required to perform tasks whatsoever.
Technically, because I'm the slowest runner aka tortoise, and Aunty Lionel is runner aka rabbit and Nek, well, she's half rabbit half tortoise because when she has energy she will run at the same pace as Aunty Lionel, or else, we're walking mates. :D
Though sometimes I think Aunty Lionel knows how to run only. He's fast so when he gets the clue, he runs off again, without analysing where should we go next. Eh bang mana you mau pergi? -.-
Moral of the story: We got no team spirit. One go here the other go there langsung tak ada discussion and we need to yell and wait for the other person to reunite with us. *wipe sweat*
But if it's regarding performing tasks, Aunty Lionel is again the fastest and he needed to wait for Nek, then me. Sorry la, I seriously out of breath already for some stations. *GASPING FOR AIR*
250 SHADES OF RED will be our highlight of the day.
I first thought of Audi A, and that time I really exhausted till I thought I got mild asthma because I kept gasping for air. So the two went off to Audi A and by the time I reached, they came out and said it's wrong place.
BUT WHERE ELSE GOT SO MANY REDSSSSSSSS?!
So we ran all over the place, Nek even asked the kakak who was mopping the floor in Faculty of Dentistry hahahaha!!
In the end we got some tips, IT IS INDEED AUDI A LA!!!!! Just that it's another station without having us to perform any tasks it's super duper easy! Find an envelope which contains the clue (some of the envelopes are empty ones) and off you go! Haiyo.
Moral of the story: Stay calm. The trick is that sometimes it's just that simple. Don't need to think so complicated.
Oh, there was a station where two of us are required to be blindfolded and eat watermelons and spit out the required amount of seeds. 8 is the number and that two fellas did the tasks while I counted for them.
After it started, I found myself keep on yelling at Nek for enjoying the watermelon and swallowing the seeds. Mak cik ni bukan masa untuk makan tembikai tau? -.-
Actually it looked very nice to eat. Because I was feeling hot and seeing that two fellas eating, I felt like eating too but they only required two persons to eat. *wipe tears a bit*
The reality was, it was quite difficult to feel the seeds and you can just swallow the seeds without realising it. In the end Aunty Lionel managed to spit out 7 seeds and Nek 1 seed. While I looked at the remaining watermelon wondering is it appropriate to ask whether I can eat as dessert or not. *swallow saliva*
Moral of the story: Anything that is nice to eat please include me. I cannot stand seeing other people eat okay.
And another one. It's related to lions so I immediately thought of MPH. But Nek kept saying that it's a jaguar. Then where else got lions? In the end we decided to just go and see, and it seemed that a lot of people were in Function Room eating. (MPH wasn't one of the stations as it was used by other people.)
Nek was like, aiya they are having break la we got no time to eat c'mon let's find out where's this place.
Just when we were about to leave, one girl told us that eating was the task.
NEK AH NEK, DON'T SO FAST MAKE JUDGEMENTS OKAY. I was actually thinking whether it's logic or not to have a break during a race. -.- And whether people got so free or not to waste their time eating. -.-
So we got our food, and she got our teka-teki paper.
(When I told Husky about this station, he was like, "So they ask you to eat first right?")
-.- Yes Aunty Lionel asked me to eat. -.-
Since Nek got the paper I didn't really get the chance to look at it and just kept munching cucumbers so most of the questions were solved by her. Until we were down to the last question ehehehehe the hardest question and I manged to answer it correctly. Weeeeeeeee! Oh what was Aunty Lionel doing that time? Err other than asking me to eat, he was eating as well. Bahahahahaha.
Moral of the story: Again, keep calm. Don't so fast make judgements. Rushing is not the way. Must walk slow slow like me so that you think also slow a bit. *wipe sweat* And noone will be so free to take a break during a race. *wipe sweat again*
Then there was the station where what we required to do was to just solve the word puzzle. And it involved general knowledge. Questions like, who's Venus Williams' sister and country which trademark was shaped like a triangle or something like that. Hey I knew the answers hehehehehe. Not all la but I'm impressed with my general knowledge. *wearing the I'm So Proud badge*
Actually I was the most relax one because some of the tasks which required only two persons to perform the tasks were always the other two. First was the watermelon task. Then the station where one person must lift up the other to bite the snack which was hanging high up.
Obviously Aunty Lionel was the one who do the lifting part and the person who was lifted up was also obviously Nek. I'm taller to reach the snack but at the same time I'm also heavier. And well, that's just a small bite of snack I didn't bother to eat ngehehehehe. Unlike the watermelon station.
Nek's hand got scratched a bit. Blame the coconut tree. Btw, coconut is not a nut. :D
Hate the one who recommended the coconut video to Nek who then recommended to me. -.-
Moral of the story: In any race, there's always better if you have at least a guy in the team. Very useful when it comes to performing tasks like this. And guys can eat a lot. ;)
There were actually some issues with the committee and made us felt whaaaattttttttt for a while because of so-called technical problems. For example, we were on the right station but they said it's wrong but when we went there for the second time after running all over SEGi only they said yes. -.-
And they should sign or do anything that verifies the clue belongs to each team so that teams will not be able to steal/snatch/pick up clues (let's say some of the clumsy teams drop their clues on the floor accidentally) from other teams. Because the station game during my camp needed verification from each team to avoid 'stolen clues' from happening. So yeah. Security not tight enough.
At the end of course we didn't manage to get top 3 but macam got top 10 la because some of the teams who reached earlier than us didn't manage to get 20 clues so yeah.
We chilled out in the student lounge and to my surprise there were breads of scrambled eggs with mayo when I thought it was just plain bread. My eyes turned big and blink blink already. My favourite type of bread/sandwich of all time. So I happily ate the sandwich while chatting with Husky who managed to get 1st runner up in the badminton tournament! Yay!!!!!!!!! *flying kiss*
Last was the closing ceremony where certificates were distributed and epic pictures of mine were taken. *no eye see*
Then we went back home with sore bodies. Hahahaha. But thank God I wasn't injured. Just that Nek had skinless hand and Aunty Lionel had bit stomach upset. And God blessed us a terrific day for a race! It wasn't that hazy compared to previous days so at least we didn't need to race by wearing masks. Hahahaha.
