Say Yes to the Dress: The Big Day

Who doesn't love weddings? Especially the WEDDING DRESSES. They come in all kinds of design, colours, laces, sequins, elegant, simple, lavish, whoa, that's a bit too many choices.

Say Yes to the Dress: The Big Day is a bit different than Say Yes to the Dress because in Say Yes to the Dress, the show focuses only on the bride-to-be choosing her wedding gown. Which needs agreement from her Mum, her Mother-in-law-to-be, her sisters, her bridesmaid, her sister-in-law-to-be, her best friend etc etc. Unless the bride-to-be really fall in love with the gown and desperately wants the gown until she cried because it's just the perfect gown to her.

Say Yes to the Dress: The Big Day focuses on a wider area on preparation for the big day, which includes the makeup, the hairstyle, the venue etc.

Also it will make you realise that the preparation for the wedding day itself is a challenge to the couple because there will be a lot of disagreements.

For example, on one of the episodes, the girl is furious that her fiancee rented a limousine to fetch his best men to try out tuxedos under her fiancee's expenses while her bridesmaid had to travel for 2 hours just to try out gowns that they need to pay for themselves.

The girl is furious because she thinks that her fiancee is selfish and is wasting unnecessary money.

At the end this problem was solved pretty fast because the guy explained that he didn't think of renting a limousine for the bride side (well guys always didn't think of this didn't think of that while girls always overthink this and that hahaha) and apologized that he should't be selfish and only thought about himself and his best men. After that the girl also calmed down and apologized and that she promised not to be angry that much (something like that la).

There, argument ended.

Though the guy didn't stop showing his apologies. He rented a pink limousine for his fiancee and the bridesmaids to show up on the wedding day. He translated his apologies into action. That's more like it, instead of just saying sorry sorry all the time.

Watching shows like this doesn't mean I want to get married already but it's because I love to see pretty things, and ain't wedding dresses pretty and wedding a pretty thing to happen? It involves real-life dramas including the tears of joy when the bride found her perfect dress and the arguments that occur between the couples, and also their reaction when something goes wrong on the wedding day itself. I rather watch this kind of drama instead of reading Confession Pages (except for TarC's because there are a lot of touching posts haha) because, there are a lot of fake posts and well, a lot of vulgar words too.

I learned a lot through shows like this on how to communicate with people especially your partner. The disagreements always end with laughter and yeah, they are happily married.

Though not all couples manage to keep their budget for the big day. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

6 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ 7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, 8 and the two will become one flesh.’So they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” - Mark 10:6-9 -
