- Start well, end well, what about the "in-between"?
Joshua 6:1-5
Now the gates of Jericho were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in.
2 Then the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men. 3 March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. 4 Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. 5 When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight in.”
#1 In between promise & fulfillment, stand victoriously

Surely your goodness and love will follow me, all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
- We shall know the Truth which sets us free
- We shall Believe the Truth
- We shall Claim the promise that is fulfilled
- There's nothing too difficult for God
#2 In between promise & fulfillment, persevere relentlessly
Hebrews 6:12
12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Psalm 40:1

he turned to me and heard my cry.
- Faith + Patience
- God's timing -> some things are delayed to teach us something
- In the high points we forgot God because of arrogance
- In the low points don't give up -> continue serving and giving
#3 In between promise & fulfillment, confess positively.
Joshua 6:10
But Joshua had commanded the army, “Do not give a war cry, do not raise your voices, do not say a word until the day I tell you to shout. Then shout!”
Proverbs 18:21
The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 21:23
Those who guard their mouths and their tongues
keep themselves from calamity.
James 3:2
We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.
Joshua 6:20
When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city.
- It's human nature to complain
- The more we complain, the more we drift away from Jesus
- Wrong words destroy relationships, business deals and hurt people
