1 Corinthians 15:13-14
13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.
- Jesus talked about His own death/Resurrection.
-Through Resurrection, it proves that Jesus is God.
- He overcame death, and it leads to salvation.
Romans 8:1-2
8 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
- Death has no sting, after we die, we slip into eternity.
- After Jesus rose to death, He lingered around the Earth for 40 more days, appearing in physical form
-Many eyewitnesses saw Jesus
-He endured physical pain & stress
Hebrews 4:15-16
15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
-Jesus empathises with us, He understands our situation as He also have gone through trials
-His delay is not denial, it just means that breakthrough is coming
Ephesians 1:19-20
19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms
"Don't live a crucified Friday, nor an anxious Saturday, live a victorious Sunday."
