I've been training myself to not complain when there are too many assignments for us to handle and when two of the assignments' deadlines are too close/on the same day.
I've been very hard on myself to not give excuses when I fail to do something because I know that I'm the one who did not start doing something so I should not blame it on others. Except well, when the reason of failure is entirely not because of me.
This sem we have 4 assignments and 1 presentation. So?
In our very first year and first sem of degree, we already encountered 9 assignments in one sem.
What is 5 when you already survived the 9 assignments in one sem period?
And today, the two assignments with the most confusing instructions are due . Maybe because we no longer need to fuss over these two assignments, I realised that most of the people were quite happy and active in class, as in can't stop disturbing each other in class. Hahahahaha.
Me, Nek, Ah Yi and Gorgor started to play Art with Friends last week and we sent each other weird looking pictures to guess the words.
But because the pictures are too mysterious-looking, we can't help but ask each other about the answers in class.
WHAT DID YOU JUST DRAW OH?!!!!
Hahahahahaha.
Again, the article of the Daily Bread today reminded me something.
Complains poison the heart with ingratitude and can be a contagion. So each day, let's rehearse the faithfulness and goodness of God to us.
It's normal for people to just let it out their negative feelings, and by right they should, but in a right way. All of us have complaints. Just don't let yourself live in a life full of complains because you won't learn to appreciate lives.
Lord, You have given us so much. Forgive us for our short memories and bad attitudes. Help us to remember and be grateful for all that You have provided. And help us to tell others of the good things You have done for us.
Amen.
Everyday I wake up, and I thank God for the opportunity for a new day. Good or bad, I have God to help me live through it.
