At the end it wasn't his liver problem that took his life away. It was due to him not having any determination to live and to improve his health, all because of one reason: He couldn't accept the fact that he, who all the while had been healthy, was diagnosed with liver cancer.
Let me add on the main reason he got this cancer: He seldom exercise, he doesn't like to drink water, PLUS, he likes to eat food with heavy taste, like those grilled/fried oily food. My lady boss said she heard a lot of cancer survivors who had breast cancer, bone cancer, nose cancer etc but for liver cancer patients, the chance to survive is almost 0%.
She also said that supposed the tumor shrunk after going for a strict diet on what to eat and what not to eat, but just after a month, her father went back to normal on the food that he likes to eat. That was the reason that cause his situation to worsen. Then he felt so meaningless to live in this world as he cannot eat a lot of food. Basically he couldn't even consume food with salt. Imagine that. Tasteless food. And you're living in Malaysia. Sigh.
As her parents' age gap is 12 years, it was actually not that tough for her mother to take care of her father as she still have the energy, compared to those who are of similar age. Then my lady boss thought of her age gap with my boss (her husband la), and also between her siblings and siblings-in-law, all either same age or only 1 year difference. Imagine if one of the spouses (especially the husband) has health issues, will their other half have the energy to take care of them? It's like an 80 year old grandmother looking after an 80 year old grandfather.
In conclusion, if you're a guy, please please take care of your health, do the basic stuff i.e control diet and drink lots of water. Coke doesn't count as water please. Supposedly males should drink more water than females because they don't go through the menstrual cycle, so their dirty blood doesn't flow out. When the dirty blood doesn't flow out, their blood won't have the chance to renew. Therefore they need more water. Of course same to girls. Water very the important okay.
But what I can say that, it doesn't mean that if you have a healthy lifestyle you won't get cancer. In fact the articles that I read before shows that it is possible to still get cancer even when you eat the right food, exercise often, no smoking and etc. One is due to genes. Others, I don't know.
Of course, in order to not blame your lifestyle as the reason of getting cancer or other health issues, do be aware of your lifestyle. Think of your future family as your motivation. :)
Here's a video by The Grim Film. I understand that in some circumstances, men feel that, and they have, the responsibilities to give their family the best. But what if the best, were already there? Different people have different definition of having a "good lifestyle" for family. Some people don't have ambitions, and others, they are over ambitious. The word balance doesn't seem to exist at all.
But, does it worth it?
Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. - 3 John 1:2 -
